Having a love and passion for both journalism and photography, my vision for Shantel Smith Photography has been to brand a documentary-style photography that engages all the senses and to ensure the success of every session is measured by emotive, professional art. In 2020, my branded and artistic photojournalism was recognized and published in The Life in 52 Project, a special Pandemic Edition of Senior Magazine, and multiple global photography journals/publications. In 2021, Shantel Smith Photography placed for multiple awards in the world's largest online photography competition. My vision remains the same, to stay true to both art and journalism and to combine them both in a way that highlights the most beautiful aspects of both.
